Equestrian statue of Augustus riding right on a low square pedestal inscribed [S] • P • Q • R/ IMP/ [C]AES in three lines; all before city wall with arched entrance / Cippus inscribed S • P • Q • R/ IMP • CAE/ QVOD • V/ M • S • EX/ EA • P • QIS/ AD • A • DE in six lines. RIC I 362; RSC 543; Elkins, Monuments Figure 60. Lightly toned, banker’s mark on obverse, flan flaws on reverse. VF.

The legend on the cippus “translates to ‘The Senate and Roman People to Caesar because the roads have been paved out of the money which he contributed to the Treasury’” (Elkins, Monuments in Miniature p. 65, quoting Hill 1989: 56).
